Karachi may experience light drizzling on Eid

The Meteorological Department has forecast cloudy weather in Karachi on the first day of Eid.

There are also chances of drizzling in the city. The weather is, by and large, expected to remain humid on Saturday.

The minimum temperature on Saturday morning was 29.5 degrees Celsius and the maximum the temperature is expected to rise to is 36 degrees.

Sea breeze is blowing at 14 kilometres per hour and humidity is around 65%.

Eidul Azha gift: Pakistan petrol prices rise

The government gave Pakistan the gift of inflation on Eid, with prices of petroleum products increasing by up to Rs6.5 per litre. The price of petrol was increased by Rs3.86 per litre.

The Ministry of Petroleum prepared a summary of the increase in the prices of petroleum products up to Rs10 per litre. OGRA officials said that they did not send a summary.

According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the prices of petroleum products have been increased by Rs 6.5 per litre from August 1.

Earlier, the government had announced that it will be fixing the prices of petroleum products every 15 days, which will be announced from August 15.

PIA to operate Paris to Pakistan flights from August 15

PIA announced on Friday that it will be operating flights from Paris to Pakistan starting August 15 to provide facilities to its passengers and bring them to the country.

The flight from Paris to Islamabad will be operated on August 15, whereas passengers from Islamabad will depart for Paris on August 16. Another flight from Paris to Islamabad will leave on August 29 and the flight from Islamabad to Paris will depart on August 30.

PIA will bring back passengers to their country from Paris on special chartered flights.

The Civil Aviation Authority has allowed chartered flights from Paris to land in Islamabad. The CAA’s director of air transport has officially issued the permit for it.
